Digital transformation in petroleum exploration and production
Abstract
Digital transformation is providing businesses with a great opportunity for creating and capturing value. The development of technologies such as cloud computing, social media and big data analytics is driving trends that offer enormous potential to the petroleum industry. The article focuses on introducing digital transformation trends in the world, current status and trends of digital transformation in oil and gas companies in general and in petroleum exploration and production in particular. The article also gives some recommendations for digital transformation of the petroleum exploration and production sector in Vietnam.
